Sprinter fault memory lock issue
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Mercedes Sprinter with a gasoline engine is experiencing a fault memory lock, with diagnostics indicating an error likely caused by undervoltage. The issue seems to be related to the active memory causing problems. Checking the battery voltage is suggested as a starting point, and undervoltage is confirmed as the root cause. The recommended solution is to take the vehicle to a workshop for professional handling, which resolved the issue for a cost of 240€.

The battery voltage was among the initial parameters assessed. Can you elaborate on what you encountered? Were the symptoms identical, and did you determine undervoltage to be the definitive cause of the memory lock?

Yes, undervoltage was the root cause in my case. After chasing a few other possibilities, that's what it came down to. Frankly, at that point, I just sent it to the workshop, it needs some experience for this kind of problems.

I appreciate the confirmation. Your experience validates my current thinking. It appears a visit to the workshop is indeed the most prudent approach. As predicted it was undervoltage and I got away with 240€. Many thanks.

I had something similar happen on my Sprinter, it's a real pain. I seem to recall the active memory causing issues. Did you check the battery voltage first? That was my starting point.
