Sprinter Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Issue

I did give the wiring a look, didn't see anything obvious. No frayed wires or anything like that. I tried wiggling the connector while the engine was running, but nothing changed. Is there anything else I should be checking before I just throw a new pressure sensor at it?

If you've checked the wiring and the problem persists, and you are getting consistent 'fuel rail pressure sensor signal faulty' codes, then yeah, it really does sound like the sensor itself. At this point, you might be best served by having a workshop confirm, but I'm pretty confident that's where you'll land. Save yourself the headache.

Thanks for the input. I took it to a shop, and you were right. They confirmed it was the fuel pressure sensor. Total cost was 240€ including the sensor and labor. Runs like a champ now, no more engine stalling.

Yeah, I had a similar issue with my Sprinter, though it's not the same year. I had the same symptoms: check engine light, engine stalling at idle, and reduced power. If the code points to the fuel rail pressure sensor, it's very likely that's your culprit. Have you checked the wiring to the sensor? Sometimes it's just a loose connection or damaged wire.
