Sprinter keyless entry problem

My 2023 Mercedes Sprinter diesel is playing up. The keyless entry is dead, and the computer's throwing an error. I'm betting it's a dodgy door handle wiring fault. Has anyone seen this kind of door switch or door mechanism issue? What am I looking at?

I had similar issues with my BMW a while back. Keyless entry stopped working intermittently. Have you checked the door wiring harness where it enters the door? Could be a broken wire or a loose plug connection.

You think it's just a broken wire? Is that really all it takes to kill the whole car door function?

That was the cause in my case. However, it is best to get it checked in a workshop to be sure. A defective control unit could also be the reason. A diagnostic device can help with troubleshooting.

Alright, took your advice and had it checked out. Turns out it was a wiring fault in the door handle, just like I thought. Cost me 95€ to fix. Thanks!
