Sprinter parking aid malfunction

Yeah, I figured it might be something simple. But where are these parking sensors and the blind spot sensors actually located on the Sprinter? I don't want to start pulling things apart without a clue.

Without seeing your exact van, it's tough to say exactly. Parking sensors are usually in the bumpers, front and rear. Blind spot sensors are often integrated into the side mirrors or the rear bumper corners. I'd still recommend taking it to a workshop. The error code should point them right to the problem. Could be a defective cable or plug connection. If so, I read a similar case where the repair cost was around 95€. They will have the right tools to diagnose the radar sensors too.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I took it to the workshop, and you were right – it was a corroded connector on one of the sensors. 98€ later, the parking aid is working perfectly again!

Parking aid faults can be tricky. I had something similar happen on my older car, turned out to be a bad connection. Have you checked the wiring and plugs to the parking sensors, blind spot sensors, and proximity sensors? Sometimes a little water ingress or a loose connection can cause havoc with the obstacle detection system. Could also be a faulty sensor but checking the wiring is the first step.
