Sprinter power tailgate issue hall sensor fault

My 2020 Mercedes Sprinter with an electric engine has a power tailgate issue. The tailgate doesn't fully open, and the error memory shows a hall sensor fault. I suspect it's a cable or plug problem. Has anyone experienced this? Estimate is 95€ for repair, mileage is 158070 km.

I think I had something similar with my Sprinter. Was it giving you any other weird electrical problems or just the tailgate?

Just the tailgate. Did you also get a hall sensor error? Was it a simple fix?

Yeah, it was the hall sensor too. Honestly, I just took it to a workshop. They sorted out the wiring pretty quick and did a sensor calibration. Probably best to just get it checked out properly to avoid further issues with the power tailgate.

Thanks, that's helpful. I'll get it checked. Turned out to be a defective plug like I suspected, they replaced it and did the sensor calibration. Runs fine now.
