Stepwgn fuel flap issue
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Honda Stepwgn hybrid had a fuel flap that wouldn't open, with errors stored and some car functions unavailable. The issue was suspected to be related to the electric actuator controlling the fuel flap lock. It was suggested to check the fuse and actuator, but ultimately, the problem was resolved by replacing the faulty actuator at a workshop.

Thanks! Where exactly IS the interior release button, and what am I looking for with the actuator? How do I even get to it?

My bad, I'm afraid that Stepwgn models don't have an interior release button for the fuel flap. Given the symptoms and the error code, it does sound like the electric actuator that controls the fuel flap lock is the problem. Accessing it usually requires removing the trim panel in the rear quarter panel on the same side as the fuel filler. Honestly, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. Could be a pain to fix yourself.

Cheers! Workshop it is. Turns out it WAS the actuator – cost me 210€ to get sorted. Appreciate the advice!

I had a similar problem with my Stepwgn. Does the fuel filler door release with either the central locking or the interior release button? If not, have you checked the fuse for the fuel flap actuator? It's usually located in the driver's side footwell fuse box. If the fuse is fine, the actuator itself might be faulty.
