Stepwgn hybrid engine power loss
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Honda Stepwgn hybrid experienced a drop in engine power, rough running, increased fuel consumption, and jerking during acceleration, accompanied by a check engine light. The issue was suspected to be related to a defective injection valve. After consulting with another owner who had similar symptoms, it was suggested to check the fuel injectors and spark plugs. The problem was confirmed to be the fuel injectors, which were causing the engine to run too rich, and the issue was resolved at a workshop.

Thanks for the reply. No, I haven't checked the fuel injectors and spark plugs yet. How did you figure out what was wrong with yours? What exactly was the issue?

I went through almost the same symptoms. It turned out to be the fuel injectors causing the engine to run too rich. I'd suggest getting it checked at a workshop to be sure, as it can damage the engine in the long run.

Thanks a lot! I took it to the workshop, and you were right, it was the fuel injectors. Repair cost was 515€. Appreciate the help!

Hey, I had a similar issue with my Stepwgn. Have you checked the fuel injectors and spark plugs? A bad air-fuel ratio can also cause these symptoms. What about the catalytic converter or intake manifold?
