Strada Intake Air Temperature Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2004 Fiat Strada diesel exhibited a check engine light, reduced power, and rough running at 161,799 km, with a diagnostic tool indicating an intake air temperature sensor error. The sensor showed implausibly low temperature readings, suggesting a fault. The issue was resolved by replacing the defective sensor, which restored normal engine performance and turned off the check engine light.

The tool shows an implausible temperature, much lower than ambient. What troubleshooting did you do to fix it?

I didn't do much myself, to be honest. I checked the wiring briefly, but with those symptoms and the error code, it screamed "faulty sensor" to me. Saved myself the headache and took it straight to my trusted workshop. They confirmed it was the sensor and replaced it. Sorted the problem right out. Honestly, I'd recommend you do the same.

I took it to a workshop, and the intake air temperature sensor was defective. Replacement cost 155€. The check engine light is off, and engine performance is back to normal. Thanks for the help.

Ah, yes, the intake air temperature sensor! I had a similar problem with my Strada. Exact same symptoms: check engine light, sluggish performance, the works. I remember thinking it was something far more serious. What's the temperature reading your diagnostic tool is showing?
