Strada NOx Catalyst Aging Exhaust Leak
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Fiat Strada with a gasoline engine has a check engine light due to a diagnostic scan indicating NOx storage catalyst aging, accompanied by an exhaust leak. The exhaust leak could potentially cause the catalyst issue by affecting the NOx sensor readings. A similar case revealed a small crack in the exhaust manifold, which led to incorrect sensor readings. The suggested solution is to inspect and repair any exhaust leaks, particularly near the catalytic converter, to resolve the issue.

Thanks. I haven't checked the exhaust manifold specifically. What did you see when you had this problem?

My mechanic found a small crack. He said it caused the NOx sensor to read incorrectly. If you're unsure, take it to a workshop.

I took it to a trusted mechanic, and there was a minor exhaust leak near the catalytic converter. Repair costs were 265€. Thanks for the help.

I had a similar issue with my Strada. Check engine light, same error code... it could be related. Have you checked the exhaust manifold?
