Stream engine stalling at idle
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Honda Stream is experiencing stalling issues at idle, accompanied by a check engine light. The initial suspicion is a faulty tank ventilation valve, and a new gas cap has already been tried without success. A suggestion is made to inspect the hoses connected to the EVAP system for clogs, as these can cause similar symptoms. Given the complexity, it is advised to consult a mechanic for a thorough inspection and potential repair.

Thanks. Could you tell me where those hoses are and how to check them? I'm not great with car repairs, so any details would help.

Honestly, if you're not familiar, it's probably best to get it checked by a mechanic. It's under the hood, near the fuel tank. I fiddled with mine forever and eventually caved. The valve itself was shot, not just the hoses. Labor and parts cost me 175€ to fix.

Thanks for the info and the advice. I think I'll take it to a mechanic to check the hoses and valve. I appreciate you pointing me in the right direction. I'll post what the solution is when I know.

Hey, I had something similar in my Stream. Check the hoses connected to the EVAP system, especially the ones going to the ventilation valve. They get clogged easily and can cause those symptoms. Worth a shot before replacing parts.
