Control rods, eh? Where exactly are those located? And how would I diagnose a defective one? The error memory indicates a problem with the leveling sensor, which makes sense.

They're connected to each of the height sensors, usually near each wheel. A visual inspection might reveal a broken or detached rod. If you're not comfortable poking around, a workshop visit might be a good call to pinpoint the issue and avoid further damage to the air suspension. A defective control rod on the sensor is known to cause the symptoms you describe.

Roger that. Popped it into the local shop, and yep, control rod was borked just like you said. 110€ later and she's back to normal. Thanks for the heads-up!

Sounds familiar! I had something similar on my Suburban. Is it throwing any specific codes related to the leveling system? I'd check the control rods on the height sensors themselves; they're usually the culprit when you see those symptoms.
