Suburban keyless entry malfunction

I'm experiencing an odd issue with my 2022 Chevrolet Suburban diesel. Mileage is at 216896 km. I'm getting an error stored in the error memory, and the keyless entry is malfunctioning – unlocking and locking are unreliable. Furthermore, the engine won't start without the key in the ignition lock. Suspect a defective cable or plug connection in the bumper antenna system. Anyone else encountered this?

Bumper antenna? That's an unusual place for an antenna. Are you sure it's not just the key fob battery? And what error code are you seeing? Could be a completely unrelated issue causing all these symptoms. Also, what makes you think it's the antenna specifically?

Key fob battery is new. I read the error memory with a diagnostic tool; it points to the vehicle antenna. I'm asking if anyone has had experience with antenna issues. I understand that this may be a completely unrelated issue, but has anyone had similar issues with the vehicle antenna?

Okay, if the error code specifically calls out the vehicle antenna, and you've ruled out the fob battery, it does sound like your diagnosis is probably correct. Given all the symptoms, and the fact that it's all happening at once, a defective cable or plug connection seems most likely. It is a pretty new vehicle, but still, these things happen. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop, they should be able to diagnose it properly and replace the faulty component for a reasonable price. It shouldn't be too expensive.

Thanks for the confirmation. Took it to the shop, and it was indeed a defective connector on the bumper antenna. New connector and diagnostics came to 95€. Everything works again.
