Suburban Terminal 30 Error
Summary of the thread
The conversation revolves around an electrical issue with a 2018 Chevrolet Suburban, specifically a 'Terminal 30 continuous plus interrupted' error leading to poor starting. The suspected cause was a heavily discharged or defective battery. A suggestion was made to check for voltage drops, which could indicate resistance in the circuit due to issues like corroded connections. Ultimately, the problem was resolved by replacing the defective battery, eliminating the error.

Voltage drop? I'm not really sure how to check that. Where exactly should I be testing, and what kind of readings am I looking for? Is there any chance that there is a bad starter motor, and how can it cause this?

Okay, so with my Beemer, the voltage drop was happening because of a corroded connection to the starter. Basically, you'll want to use a multimeter to check the voltage at the battery, then at the starter while someone tries to crank the engine. A significant drop (like, more than a volt) suggests resistance in the circuit. Honestly, though, messing with electrical stuff can be risky. If you're not comfortable, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop before you accidentally fry something.

Thanks a lot! I took your advice and brought it to a local shop. Turns out the battery was indeed defective. They replaced it, and the error is gone! Total cost was 290€. Really appreciate the help!

Whoa, that sounds frustrating! I had a similar problem with my old BMW a while back. Same symptoms, slow start, and some weird electrical errors popping up. Have you checked for any voltage drop across the starter motor or ignition switch? Could be a short circuit somewhere messing with the power supply.
