Sun Blind Motor Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Peugeot 3008 Hybrid owner is experiencing a sun blind motor failure, with the blind stuck and an OBD scanner indicating a motor error. The issue is likely a defective motor, as confirmed by another owner with a similar problem. Suggested solutions include checking the fuse and attempting manual movement, but since these did not resolve the issue, professional repair is recommended due to the complexity of accessing the mechanism.

Thanks! The fuse is fine. I tried to help it manually, but it feels like the motor is dead. Was the motor the problem for you, and did you fix it yourself? Trying to figure out how difficult the repair is.

Yes, the motor was the issue for me. Since the fuse is okay and manual assistance didn't work, it's probably a faulty motor. A skilled person might be able to replace it, but the mechanism is tricky to access. Considering the potential for damage and the 330€ quote, I'd advise going to a workshop.

Thanks for confirming it was the motor for you too. Sounds like it's best to leave it to the professionals. I'll book it in!

I had the exact same sun blind issue on my 3008. Same symptoms: stuck blind, error memory pointing to the motor. That's likely your problem too. Did you check the fuse for the sun blind motor, or try helping the blind to move? It might just be jammed.
