Sunny Windshield Washer Heater Fault

I've got a 2000 Nissan Sunny with a gasoline engine and am having some trouble with the windshield washer heater. The error memory is storing a fault, and I've noticed the spray nozzles are freezing up in cold temps. I've checked the fuse box but no luck. Mileage is at 75866 km. Anyone experienced this heater malfunction before?

Hey, I've got a Sunny as well, though I can't recall the exact year. The windshield washer heater gave me similar grief last winter – error codes popping up and frozen nozzles. Have you checked the cable and plug connection to the heater itself? That was the culprit in my case; seemed like a loose connection.

Interesting, thanks for the tip! Where exactly is that cable and plug located? I've been poking around but haven't been able to find it. Is it hard to get to?

From what I remember, it's a bit tricky to reach. It's usually under the windshield, near the washer fluid reservoir, closer to the heating element. If it is the cable or a defective plug connection, as in my case, it’s probably best to get it checked at a workshop. I ended up going that route; they sorted it out quickly. Much easier than wrestling with it myself in the cold!

Thanks for the advice! I think I'll take your advice and bring it to the shop. I got a quote for around 95€, which doesn't sound too bad. Hopefully, that cable or plug connection is the issue. Appreciate the help!
