Boost pressure actuator, huh? I haven't really checked for that specifically. Where exactly is that located, and is it something I can easily inspect myself? How did you pinpoint it to the actuator? Any specific tests you did?

On the BMW, it was near the turbo, kinda tucked away. I'm not sure where it is on the Supra exactly. Honestly, I couldn't really see much, but I could hear the air hissing around that area. I took it to a workshop, and they used a smoke test to find the leak and then diagnosed the actuator. I'd suggest getting it checked out professionally, especially with all those symptoms.

Thanks a lot for the info! I'll take it to a trusted workshop and have them check the boost pressure actuator and do a smoke test. That sounds like it could be the culprit. The final bill revealed it was the electrical bypass valve, costing me around 250€. Hopefully, that fixes everything!

Sounds rough. I had a similar issue with my old BMW 335i. Check engine light, loss of power, the whole shebang. Turned out to be a faulty boost pressure actuator. Do you feel any air escaping under the hood? Any signs of a boost leak perhaps?
