Supra IV Engine Jerking

Hi, I have a 2000 Toyota Supra IV with a gasoline engine. Recently, the engine has been running unevenly. The check engine light is on, and there's an error code stored. When I accelerate, the car jerks. Could a dirty air filter or the ignition coil be the reason for this?

I also drive a Supra IV. I had similar symptoms, including the error light and jerking. Have you checked the exhaust system for leaks? That was the reason for my rough idle.

An exhaust leak can cause that? I haven't checked it yet. Where exactly should I be looking for the leak?

It definitely can. In my instance, I wasn't able to pinpoint the exact location of the leak without proper equipment. I would suggest visiting a workshop and having them pressure test the exhaust system.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a shop, and you were right. It was a leak in the exhaust system. The repair cost me 265€.
