Thanks for sharing your similar experience. I developed almost identical symptoms on my 2012 Kizashi last winter, complete door electronics failure and error codes. The door handle sensor and locking system needed attention. My mechanic found worn wiring in the door harness plus a failing actuator. Makes sense what you mentioned about the wire damage from constant door movement. Did you have any other sensor issues pop up after getting yours fixed? Just curious since mine has been working fine for 6 months now. Would be helpful to know what you ended up paying for the repair. I think mine came to around 280€ for parts and labor combined.

Had my Swift back to the mechanic last week actually. The door handle electronics fault got fully resolved, no other sensor problems cropped up since the initial repair. The wiring fault turned out to be simpler than expected, just needed some work on a loose cable and plug connection near the door actuator. Total cost was 95€ for the fix, which seems reasonable compared to your repair bill. Didnt need any new parts, just repairing the existing door mechanism components. The door electronics have been working perfectly since then, keyless entry, locking system, everything back to normal. Really common issue with these models, but once the wiring is properly secured and connections are tight, it tends to stay fixed. Most important thing is catching these door actuator problems early before they cause more extensive damage to the electronics.

Thanks for the advice. Finally got my car back from the repair shop yesterday. The electric door system is working perfectly now. The mechanic found exactly what was described, worn wiring in the door handle area and a faulty connection at the actuator. The constant opening and closing had damaged the wire harness over time. They replaced the worn section and secured everything properly. Total repair came to 320€ including parts and labor. More than I hoped but worth it to have working door electronics again. The locking system and keyless entry are both functioning like new. Really glad I got it fixed before winter. The mechanic mentioned these door mechanism issues often get worse in cold weather when left unrepaired. All seems good now though, no error codes and every door function working smoothly.

Had the same door mechanism problems on my 2011 Suzuki Swift with the 1.6L engine. The door switch started acting up with similar symptoms, keyless entry failure and error codes. After inspection, it turned out the wiring fault was inside the driver door harness where cables flex when opening and closing. The constant movement had worn through the protective covering, causing intermittent connection issues with the door handle sensors. The repair required removing the door panel and replacing the damaged wiring section. Also found a loose sensor issue at the actuator connector that needed reseating. Not a complex fix but location made access tricky since everything runs through tight spaces in the door frame. This type of door mechanism failure is fairly common in these models after 150k km. The fix itself wasnt major, but leaving it unrepaired risks permanent damage to the door control module. Worth having a qualified shop check the wiring connections first before replacing any components. Most times its the harness or loose plugs causing these door switch problems rather than the actuator itself.
