Sylphy brake feedback issue

I'm experiencing odd brake feedback in my 2000 Nissan Sylphy (gasoline engine) with 161,140 km. I've checked brake lines for leaks, and the fluid level is fine. Could it be the ABS or brake calipers? Or possibly worn metal brakes?

I had a similar problem with my old Renault Megane. The symptoms sound familiar. In my case, it turned out to be an issue with undervoltage affecting the brake system. It was particularly noticeable with the hydraulic brakes.

Undervoltage, interesting. Did you notice any other electrical issues at the same time, or was it isolated to the brakes? And how did you eventually diagnose that?

It was primarily affecting the braking system, causing inconsistent performance. Diagnosis was performed at a workshop. They found voltage drops during braking which impacted the ABS and brake assist functions. I suggest getting it checked out by a professional.

Thanks for the insight! I took it to my local mechanic as you suggested. Turns out, it was indeed an undervoltage issue affecting the braking system, just like you described. They managed to fix it, and the total repair cost was around 240€. I appreciate your help!
