Sylphy Stalling Rail Pressure Sensor
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Nissan Sylphy was experiencing stalling and reduced power, with a check engine light indicating a faulty rail pressure sensor. The issue was suspected to be the fuel rail pressure sensor, possibly due to a faulty sensor or loose wiring. After considering the complexity of the wiring, the owner opted for professional repair, which confirmed and resolved the sensor issue, restoring the vehicle's performance.

Yeah, fuel rail pressure sensor, sorry for not clarifying. Where exactly should I be looking for the wiring? And what am I looking for? I'm pretty handy, but electrics aren't my strong suit. Any tips?

Honestly, the wiring harness for the sensor is kinda buried. I remember fiddling with it for ages. If you're not super confident with electrical stuff, and the light's still on with those symptoms, maybe take it to a shop? It could save you a headache.

I bit the bullet and took it in. You were right, it was the fuel rail pressure sensor. They replaced it, and the check engine light is gone, the stalling stopped, and the power is back. Cost me 240€, but totally worth it. Thanks for the nudge!

That sounds rough! I have a Sylphy too, and I had something similar happen. By 'rail' pressure, do you mean fuel rail pressure? The sensor might be the issue, but have you checked the wiring? Sometimes it's just a loose connection causing the problem.
