System Readiness Error on Ibiza

I'm having trouble. My Seat Ibiza, build year 2019 with a Diesel engine, is throwing a System Readiness Check Incomplete error. It's stored in the error memory, and I'm getting a message. The only thing I can think of is that the vehicle was recently read out via OBD2 diagnostics. Could that be messing with the onboard diagnostics? Has anyone experienced something similar before a vehicle inspection?

I had a similar issue with my Seat Leon, though it's older. It sounds like your onboard diagnostics is acting up after that OBD2 read. Did you check the exhaust system and O2 sensors? A pending code can sometimes interfere with system readiness.

So, you think it's just a matter of the system readiness not being fully set? When you had the issue with your Leon, did you have to do anything specific to reset the OBD readiness, or did it resolve itself after a while?

In my case, it didn't clear itself. The garage said the OBD readiness wasn't properly set after some previous work. They had to force a reset. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop, as they have the tools to reset the system readiness and check if anything is preventing it from completing.

I wanted to share the outcome. The workshop confirmed the OBD readiness monitors weren't completely set after the diagnostic check. They cleared the code and ran a drive cycle to reset everything. No cost involved. Thanks for the tip.
