Tacoma ABS and Traction Control Issues

My 2023 Toyota Tacoma hybrid is throwing me for a loop. 192714 km on it. The ABS lamp lights up, traction control is bonkers, and the ABS system is toast. I'm getting a speed signal fault and suspect it's an input issue. Anyone seen anything like this with their Taco?

Whoa, that sounds rough. I have a Tacoma too (not the hybrid though) and had similar symptoms a while back. ABS light, traction control going haywire, the whole shebang. Was your speedometer acting funky too, or the dashboard throwing any other weird codes?

Yeah, come to think of it, the speedometer needle does jump around a bit sometimes, especially at lower speeds. I've been running diagnostics, and it all points to something screwy with the speed sensors. Did you ever figure out what was causing it, and how you fixed it?

That's exactly what mine was doing! Speedo going nuts, ABS screaming. Honestly, after chasing my tail for a week, I caved and took it to a workshop. Turned out to be a defective control unit that was affecting the speed signal. Cost about 1000€ to get sorted, but at least it fixed the problem.

Ugh, a defective control unit... that's what I was afraid of. Sounds like I'm headed for a similar fate. Thanks for the info! I appreciate you sharing your experience. Looks like I'll be scheduling a visit to the shop soon.
