Tacoma Blower Motor AUC Sensor

I've got a 2015 Toyota Tacoma with a gasoline engine and about 124,307 kilometers. The blower motor isn't working. I think it might be the AUC sensor, maybe a bad cable or plug. Anyone seen this before?

Summary of the thread

The blower motor in a 2015 Toyota Tacoma was not functioning, and the initial suspicion was a faulty AUC sensor, possibly due to a bad cable or plug. A diagnostic report indicated a fault in the AUC sensor system, specifically in the wiring or connections. After checking the fuses and considering other potential causes like the blower motor resistor, it was confirmed by a shop that the issue was indeed a bad connection in the AUC sensor circuit. The problem was resolved by replacing a damaged connector and fixing the wiring.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

AUC sensor? Never heard of that killing a Tacoma blower motor. That's like blaming your toaster for a leaky faucet! Did you check the blower motor resistor and the blower motor itself first? Maybe even a fuse? Seems weird it'd be the auto recirculation thingy. What makes you think it's that?

Thanks for the quick reply. I got to the AUC sensor because of a diagnostic report saying there's a fault in that system, specifically the wiring or connections. Fuses are good. I haven't checked the blower motor resistor or the motor itself yet. Could a bad AUC sensor stop the blower motor from working, maybe through some control system?

Okay, a diagnostic report mentioning the AUC throws a wrench into my toaster/faucet analogy! Still weird, but stranger things have happened. If the report points to the wiring and you've checked the easy stuff, it might be worth having a shop take a look. Messing with the climate control system can be a pain, especially if it's all interconnected. Could be a short, a bad ground...electrical gremlins are the worst. They'll probably charge you an arm and a leg to diagnose it fully, but it might save you a ton of headache.

I took it to a shop like you said. Turns out it was a bad connection in the AUC sensor circuit, just like the report said. They replaced a damaged connector and fixed the wiring. Cost me 95€.
