Tacoma CEL and Stalling

Anyone else seen this? My 2011 Toyota Tacoma with a gasoline engine is throwing a CEL and stalls at idle sometimes. Mileage is 99453 km. Suspect it's a fuel tank ventilation system leak, maybe the activated charcoal filter is shot. Anyone had similar issues?

I had similar symptoms with my Tacoma. Have you checked the purge valve and associated hoses for any cracks or leaks? A faulty purge valve can definitely cause those issues.

Yeah, I visually inspected them, but didn't find anything obvious. Did you experience the stalling only at idle as well, or also while driving? And what was the DTC?

Mine was mostly at idle, but occasionally felt a bit rough at low speeds. The DTC was pointing to evaporative emission control system leak. Bit of a pain to diagnose properly without a smoke test. Take it to a shop, they'll figure it out quickly.

Thanks for the insight! Ended up being a defective activated charcoal filter like I suspected. Replaced it, cost me 275€, and the problem is gone. Appreciate the help!
