Summary of the thread

Nope, no warning signs at all. Just completely stopped working one day. Did your Volvo give you any hints before failing?

Nah, my Volvo was the same, just died suddenly. The dealer said it was the motor and replaced it. It wasn't cheap. Honestly, with those symptoms, I'd bet you're looking at the same thing. Probably best to bite the bullet and get it checked professionally, you know, vehicle safety and all that.

Yep, you called it. Took it to the shop, and it was indeed the electric motor in the brake calliper. Cost me 505€ to get it sorted. Thanks for the insight!

Oh man, that sounds familiar. Had something similar happen with my 2018 Volvo XC60. Electronic parking brakes, what a pain, right? Was anything else acting up before it went completely kaput?
