Tacoma fuel level sensor issue

Thanks for the tip. Do you recall which fuse it was specifically, or where I might find a diagram?

I can't recall the exact fuse number, unfortunately. The diagram should be printed on the fuse box cover itself, or it might be in your owner's manual. It's definitely worth checking before you start replacing sensors. But, honestly, if it's not the fuse, and the code is definitely pointing to the fuel level sensor, you might want to consider taking it to a trusted workshop. It is difficult to properly diagnose such issues without proper tooling.

It was indeed the fuel level sensor! I took it to a workshop, they replaced the sensor, and the check engine light is off and the stalling issue is gone. Total cost was about 52€.

I had something similar happen in my Tacoma, although it's an older model. The check engine light was on, and the engine was acting strangely. From what you describe, it really sounds like a fuel level sensor issue. Have you checked the fuses related to the fuel system? Sometimes a simple blown fuse can cause all sorts of seemingly unrelated problems. I'd recommend that you check all of the fuses before proceeding further.
