Tacoma Hybrid Electrical Malfunctions

I'm seeing electrical malfunctions in my 2023 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid with 130277 km. Error memory logged a fault, general electrical system anomalies, and the navigation system is inoperable. Onboard diagnostics suggest implausible control unit programming. Could this be a software bug?

That’s odd. I have a Tacoma, though the regular gas engine. I had something similar happen a while back. My navigation went completely haywire and threw a bunch of other weird errors. Did the diagnostics specifically point to the control unit needing recalibration?

Yes, the onboard diagnostics highlighted the control unit programming. The error code seems to indicate a mismatch between the expected and actual software parameters. Were your symptoms identical, and did recalibration resolve the issue permanently?

Mine was close enough that I'd bet money it's the same problem. Recalibration fixed it, but it needed a visit to the shop, because they have the proper tools. I would recommend a visit to a reputable workshop, especially since you're dealing with a hybrid system. Better safe than sorry, right?

I appreciate the confirmation and the recommendation. Given the complexity of the hybrid system, I agree that a professional assessment is warranted. I shall schedule an appointment with a certified Toyota service center to address the control unit programming. Thank you for sharing your experience and insights; it has been most helpful. I am now aware that the repair cost should be around 240€.
