Thanks! Yes, there's a noticeable squeal, especially when the engine is cold. It diminishes as the engine warms up, but it's still there. What did you do to fix your Peugeot?

Okay, the squealing when cold is a classic sign. After poking around a bit, I took it straight to a workshop. Belt drive systems are complex and can cause serious issues if not treated with care. Better to get it sorted by a pro, trust me.

I appreciate your advice. I'll schedule an appointment with a trusted workshop to have the belt tensioner inspected and replaced. They estimated the repair cost at around 455€. Thanks again!

Hey! Had something similar on my old Peugeot 307. Belt started squealing, and engine performance dropped. Sounds like your belt tensioner is shot. Is it making weird noises, like a whine or rattling?
