Tacuma engine stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Chevrolet Tacuma is experiencing engine stalling and a check engine light, suspected to be related to the fuel tank ventilation system. The issue is likely due to a defective activated charcoal filter. A similar problem was resolved by replacing the charcoal filter, which is a common cause, though a faulty purge valve or pressure sensor could also be responsible. The recommended solution is to have the vehicle inspected and repaired at a workshop.

Interesting. Fuel efficiency seems normal. How did you fix it?

Yeah, mine was the charcoal filter, part of the fuel tank ventilation system. Could be a faulty purge valve or pressure sensor too, but the filter is the most common culprit. Best to take it to a workshop to be sure.

Thanks for the info! I took it to the workshop, and you were right, it was the charcoal filter! Cost me 275€ to get it sorted. Really appreciate the help!

Hey! I had a similar problem with my Tacuma. Check engine light and stalling... Sound familiar? Did you notice any drop in fuel efficiency?
