Tacuma exhaust issue
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Chevrolet Tacuma is experiencing exhaust issues, including increased noise and error codes, particularly after a cold start. The problem may be related to defective exhaust flaps, as suggested by a similar case where the flap actuator was faulty. The recommended solution is to have the vehicle inspected at a workshop to confirm and address the issue.

Really? Was it definitely the exhaust flaps? And how bad was it? Did it affect your engine performance?

Yes, for me the flap actuator was defective. I advise you to go to the workshop and let them check it. My bill came to around 190€, if I remember correctly.

Thanks a bunch! I was hoping it wouldn't come to that, but I guess it's off to the workshop I go. I appreciate you confirming my suspicions!

I had a similar issue with my Tacuma. Louder exhaust, rough running, and error codes pointing to the exhaust system. Sounds like your exhaust blockage is getting worse.
