Tacuma exhaust issue

My 2008 Chevrolet Tacuma with a gasoline engine is giving me fits. I've got 249406 km on the clock, and recently, the exhaust has been acting up. I'm getting an error code, it's louder than usual, and after a cold start, the engine sounds like a bag of hammers for a few minutes. My friend reckons it's the exhaust flaps playing up. Anyone else had this?

I had a similar issue with my Tacuma. Louder exhaust, rough running, and error codes pointing to the exhaust system. Sounds like your exhaust blockage is getting worse.

Really? Was it definitely the exhaust flaps? And how bad was it? Did it affect your engine performance?

Yes, for me the flap actuator was defective. I advise you to go to the workshop and let them check it. My bill came to around 190€, if I remember correctly.
