Tahoe brake booster pressure sensor error
Summary of the thread
A 2001 Chevy Tahoe owner experienced a brake booster pressure sensor error, leading to weaker braking performance. The issue was suspected to be linked to a recent brake bleed. A similar case suggested that a faulty sensor could affect the ABS and braking. The solution involved re-bleeding the brakes to remove air from the system and replacing the sensor, restoring proper braking function.

The error message is pretty consistent. It's there almost every time I start the truck. Did your issue also affect the actual braking performance, or was it just the error message?

Yeah, my braking was definitely affected. It felt like I had to press the pedal way harder than usual. I'd get it checked out by a professional. Could be the sensor itself, but if you think it's related to the bleed, they can check for air in the lines. Safety first!

Thanks for the advice! Turns out, I messed up the bleeding process and introduced air into the system like you said. Had a local shop re-bleed the brakes and replace the sensor. Cost me 90€ all-in, and the Tahoe is stopping like new again!

I had something similar happen with my Tahoe. A bad pressure sensor can definitely mess with your ABS system and overall braking. Was the error message consistent, or did it come and go?
