OBD-II scanner gave me a code for a knock sensor problem. Visually, the sensor looks fine, so I'm thinking it's the wiring. What sensor issue did you have with your Renault Megane?

My error code was for a faulty camshaft position sensor. I tried cleaning the contacts first, but that didn't fix it. Since you've checked the sensor and think it might be the wiring, I'd suggest taking it to a good shop. Wiring problems can be tricky and need special tools.

Thanks for the advice. Based on what you said, I've booked an appointment with a trusted mechanic. The estimated cost is 95€.

I had something similar with my old Renault Megane, though not exactly the same. The malfunction indicator lamp was on, and the car wasn't running well. It ended up being a sensor issue. What diagnostic steps did you take to identify the knock sensor?
