Talento Fuel Flap Issue

Fuel flap release not working on my 2018 Fiat Talento diesel. Error memory shows a fuel filler flap error. Locking or unlocking is impossible, and other vehicle functions seem affected. Anyone seen this? Suspect a defective linkage, but open to ideas before I start taking things apart.

I had a similar problem with my old Peugeot 308. The fuel filler door wouldn't open. Did you check the key fob? Sometimes a weak battery can cause issues with the actuators. Also, is there any way to manually release the fuel flap from inside the vehicle, perhaps in the trunk area?

Thanks! I did consider the key fob battery, but it seems fine for other functions. I've looked for a manual release inside, but haven't found anything. Are you referring to a cable release, or some sort of emergency override?

On my Peugeot, it was an electric actuator that failed. I was hoping for a simple fix like a cable, but no luck. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. They'll be able to diagnose it properly and replace the faulty part.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions; it seems I'll have to visit a workshop. The repair cost me 210€, as the lock actuator was faulty and needed replacement.
