Talento passenger seat malfunction
Summary of the thread
The 2020 Fiat Talento's passenger electric seat is malfunctioning, with an error stored and no movement possible. The fuses appear fine, leading to speculation that a heavily discharged battery might be the cause. A similar issue in a Fiat Doblo was resolved by checking the seat motor, which may fail due to electrical issues or physical obstruction. The recommended solution is to visit a workshop for a diagnostic tool reading and potential motor replacement.

Thanks for the reply! I haven't checked the motor directly yet. Where is it located, and how easy is it to access? What tools will I need? I'm trying to avoid a costly workshop visit if I can fix it myself.

On my Doblo, the motor is located underneath the seat, and it’s a bit of a pain to get to without removing the seat entirely. Given it's an electric seat and you already have an error code, and since you have already checked the fuses, I would say that the next step is to bring it to the workshop to read the error code with a diagnostic tool. In my case, the repair cost was about 290€, which covered the diagnosis and motor replacement.

Thank you for the advice. It seems a bit beyond my capabilities to diagnose without the proper tools. I'll take it to a workshop and have them take a look. Hopefully, it will be a similar fix to yours. Thanks again!

I had a similar problem with my Fiat Doblo. The error memory also indicated a fault with the passenger seat, and the seat was completely unresponsive. Did you check the seat motor itself? Sometimes, they can fail due to electrical issues or physical obstruction.
