Talisman AC failure

AC in my 2016 Renault Talisman (gasoline engine) has stopped cooling. The system doesn't switch on. Fuses are fine. Could it be the pressure switch, or a refrigerant leak? Has anyone else experienced this?

I had something similar with my Talisman. AC just gave up. Did you notice any drop in AC efficiency beforehand, or did it just suddenly stop working?

That's interesting. No, I didn't notice any gradual decline. It was working perfectly one day, and then nothing the next. Could it still be a refrigerant leak if it happened so suddenly? Is there a way to check for it myself?

Yeah, mine was sudden too. Turned out to be a faulty valve somewhere in the system. Honestly, AC diagnostics can be a pain. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop; they'll be able to pinpoint the exact cause much faster than you or I could.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and you were spot on - it was a defect in one of the valves, costing me around 1000€. At least it's fixed now!
