Thanks for the tip! I haven't tried wiggling any connectors yet, but I will give that a shot. Do you remember roughly where that corroded connector was located in your BMW? And when you say 'wiring harness behind the dash', do you mean I basically have to take the whole dash apart to get to it?

On the BMW, it was buried pretty deep, almost like finding a needle in a haystack. I wouldn't recommend tearing apart the entire dash just yet, unless you're super confident. Given the symptoms and the error code, and that you've already checked the fuses, it's probably best to get it checked out at a workshop. I had a similar issue on my previous car and it only cost 95€ for a new plug connection. Could be a defective cable or plug connection of the component.

Okay, thanks a lot for the advice! I appreciate you sharing your experience. I wiggled some connectors, but it didn't fix it. I'll take it to a workshop. They found that the cable or plug connection of the component was defective, and the repair cost was 95€. Thanks again!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar gremlin with my old BMW 3 Series a few years back. The whole HVAC system went haywire. Turned out to be a corroded connector in the wiring harness behind the dash. Have you tried wiggling any of the connectors around the climate control unit itself? Any idea where the error code is pointing?
