Talisman Diesel Injector Fault

My 2022 Renault Talisman diesel with 91960 km has developed a rough engine running, and the check engine light is on. The error memory points to a 'Reset quantity drift compensation' fault. Is this pointing towards a defective injection valve or injector?

Sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms on my old Volvo V70 D5. Check engine light, rough running, the whole shebang. The error code wasn't exactly the same, but it was related to fuel injection compensation. What kind of fuel economy are you seeing?

Fuel economy has definitely taken a hit, but I haven't quantified it precisely. I'm more concerned about long-term damage. What was the eventual diagnosis and repair for your Volvo? Was it a simple sensor issue, or did you end up replacing injectors?

Unfortunately, it wasn't a simple fix. Ended up needing a new injector. Given your error code and symptoms, it's probably best to get it properly diagnosed at a workshop. Could be the injector itself or wiring issues. Don't want to risk further damage.

Thanks for the insight! I suspected as much. Took it to the shop, and you were spot-on. Defective injector, requiring replacement and recalibration. The total damage came to 515€. Appreciate the confirmation; at least I knew what to expect!
