Talisman Exhaust Flap Issue

Thanks for the suggestion. The flap motor and connections seem fine. I haven't checked for stuck flaps. Where should I look to inspect those, and is there an easy way to tell if they are stuck? I appreciate the hints.

On my Insignia, the flaps were accessible from underneath the car, near the exhaust. I'd assume it's similar on the Talisman. If the motor is working and the connections are fine, but you're still getting errors and noise, it might be best to have a workshop take a look. They can probably diagnose it properly and give you a concrete repair plan.

I appreciate your advice. You confirmed my suspicion that it's beyond my limited skills. I took it to the shop and the exhaust flap was defective as suspected. They replaced it for 190€. Thanks again for the insight!

Interesting. I had a similar problem with my old Opel Insignia. Different brand, but the symptoms sound familiar. Did you check the flap motor itself? Sometimes it's just a faulty connection or a broken wire. Or could the flaps be stuck?
