Talisman Fog Sensor Error AC Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Renault Talisman is experiencing a fog sensor error, AC malfunction, frozen windshield washer nozzles, and non-heating mirrors. The issue is suspected to be due to a bad connection, possibly involving the fog sensor. Checking and addressing corroded connectors, particularly those related to the fog sensor located behind the rearview mirror, is suggested as a solution. The problem was resolved by fixing a corroded connector, restoring functionality.

Interesting. Where exactly is the fog sensor located? Is it easy to access, or do I need to start dismantling half the dashboard?

It's usually behind the rearview mirror, accessible from the inside. But given all your symptoms, a faulty connection would be the first thing to consider. Otherwise, visit a workshop.

Thanks for the tip! I'll check the connections first. Turns out that was the fix - corrosion on a connector. 95€ later at the shop and things are good.

I had something similar happen on my Talisman. Same symptoms basically. Check the wiring and connectors going to the fog sensor itself. It's a common fault apparently and might save you some headaches. Had to replace a corroded connector once.
