Talisman high fuel consumption

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2019 Renault Talisman with a gasoline engine. I've got an error stored, the check engine light is on, and fuel consumption is higher than normal at 90424 km. Could this be an aged oxygen sensor, or a defective cable/plug connection?

Hey, I had a similar problem with my Talisman. Check engine light, increased fuel consumption... Sounded like an O2 sensor to me. Is your car running rough? Mine was hesitating a bit.

Thanks! It is indeed running a bit rough sometimes, especially when accelerating. Was it indeed the O2 sensor in your case? Did you replace it yourself?

Yep, pretty sure it was the O2 sensor. I didn't replace it myself though, took it to a workshop to be sure. Cost me around 95€ for the repair. I'd say get it checked out properly to avoid damaging the catalytic converter.

Thanks, that's helpful. I'll take it to a workshop this week and have them check the O2 sensor and connections. Knowing about the potential catalytic converter issue is good to know. Appreciate the advice!
