Talisman high fuel consumption
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Renault Talisman is experiencing high fuel consumption, a check engine light, and rough running, particularly during acceleration. The issue may be due to an aged oxygen sensor or defective cable/plug connections. It is suggested to have the vehicle checked at a workshop to confirm the problem and prevent potential damage to the catalytic converter.

Thanks! It is indeed running a bit rough sometimes, especially when accelerating. Was it indeed the O2 sensor in your case? Did you replace it yourself?

Yep, pretty sure it was the O2 sensor. I didn't replace it myself though, took it to a workshop to be sure. Cost me around 95€ for the repair. I'd say get it checked out properly to avoid damaging the catalytic converter.

Thanks, that's helpful. I'll take it to a workshop this week and have them check the O2 sensor and connections. Knowing about the potential catalytic converter issue is good to know. Appreciate the advice!

Hey, I had a similar problem with my Talisman. Check engine light, increased fuel consumption... Sounded like an O2 sensor to me. Is your car running rough? Mine was hesitating a bit.
