Talisman Jerking and Power Loss
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Renault Talisman diesel is experiencing jerking during acceleration, a check engine light, reduced engine power, rough idling, and occasional stalling. The issue may be linked to a defective intake manifold, as indicated by error codes and a strong exhaust smell. Suggestions include checking for vacuum leaks and scorching around the manifold, and possibly replacing the manifold sensor. Ultimately, a workshop confirmed the intake manifold was defective, necessitating replacement.

Thanks, I'll check for leaks. What exactly should I look for in terms of scorching on the air intake?

Dark, burnt-looking areas around the manifold. It indicates escaping gases. Ultimately, I had to replace the whole thing. I'd advise getting it checked out by a workshop.

I had similar symptoms with my Talisman. Check for vacuum leaks around the manifold, especially scorching. The manifold sensor might also be faulty. Is there a code related to air intake?
