I own a 2019 Renault Talisman diesel with 94655 km. I'm experiencing jerking when accelerating, the check engine light is on, and there's reduced engine power. The engine sometimes stalls at idle and runs rough. Error memory shows a fault. Could a defective intake manifold be the cause? I also noticed a strong exhaust smell.

I had similar symptoms with my Talisman. Check for vacuum leaks around the manifold, especially scorching. The manifold sensor might also be faulty. Is there a code related to air intake?

Dark, burnt-looking areas around the manifold. It indicates escaping gases. Ultimately, I had to replace the whole thing. I'd advise getting it checked out by a workshop.
