Talisman keyless entry malfunction

I'm having an annoying issue with my 2019 Renault Talisman diesel. The keyless access has stopped working on the driver's door. I scanned it and there's an error stored related to the door handle electronics. I suspect a dodgy cable or connector. Has anyone else experienced this?

I had a similar problem with my Talisman. The keyless entry on the driver's door was intermittent, then just stopped altogether. Did you check the wiring loom where it passes from the door into the car body? That's a common failure point on many vehicles.

Thanks for the tip! I haven't checked the wiring loom specifically, but I did inspect the connector at the door handle itself. Everything looked clean and dry. Was your issue definitely the wiring loom then?

Yes, for me it was definitely the wiring loom where it enters the door. After taking a closer look, one of the wires was visibly damaged. However, I didn't feel like fixing it myself and drove to a workshop. They told me that the cable or plug connection of the component was defective and charged me 95€ to fix it. If I were you, I'd go to a workshop and have it checked out. It's not that expensive.

Thanks for confirming. I appreciate the insight. I had it checked at the workshop, it was indeed the cable, and it cost me exactly 95€. Now it works again!
