Talisman parking aid fault

I had a similar issue with my Renault Talisman. The blind spot sensors and parking sensors went haywire. Have you checked the radar sensors behind the bumper? It might be a loose connection or some corrosion affecting the obstacle detection system.

Thanks for the tip! Where exactly are those radar sensors located? Are they easy to get to, or do I need to remove the bumper to check the connections?

On my Talisman they are located behind the rear bumper, yes, you have to remove it. It's a bit of a pain. Given the error you're seeing, and if you aren't comfortable doing that yourself, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop, it might be the ultrasonic sensors.
