Talisman rough idle stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Renault Talisman is experiencing hard starts, increased fuel consumption, diminished power, and uneven idling that sometimes stalls the engine. The issue may be due to a clogged or dirty injection nozzle. A similar case required replacing the injection nozzles to resolve the problem. A workshop visit is recommended for a proper diagnosis and timely repair.

Thanks! It's got 83765 km on it. I haven't checked emissions or smells, but I will now. What was your situation specifically? Did you need a replacement, or did cleaning work?

Cleaning didn't do it for me; the mechanic said it was too far gone. They replaced the injection nozzles, and that fixed it completely. With your mileage and symptoms, a workshop visit is probably smart to get a proper diagnosis. Better to catch it early. The nozzle repair cost me around 515€ including everything.

Thanks for the info and cost estimate! Sounds like a workshop is the next step. I'll let you know what the solution is so others can learn from it.

Hey! I drive a Talisman too, and that sounds a lot like what I went through. The uneven idling and stalling especially. Any difference in emissions or weird smells? Mine turned out to be a dirty injection valve. High mileage?
