Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't checked the voltage myself, but I can get that done. If it is the sensor, is it something I could replace myself, or should I just take it to a shop?

While replacing a sensor might seem straightforward, faulty readings can stem from deeper electrical problems. Considering the symptoms you described, diagnostics are vital. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop for a professional assessment to avoid further complications and ensure that the replacement sensor is correctly calibrated to the vehicle's system.

Thanks. I appreciate the advice. I took it to a shop, and they confirmed the battery sensor was defective. The repair cost me 315€. All seems good now.

I had a similar problem with my Talisman. It turned out to be a bad battery sensor causing a low voltage issue. I'd suggest getting your battery tested to confirm. What's the battery voltage reading when the engine is off?
