Taurus keyless access failure
Summary of the thread
The keyless access on a 2011 Ford Taurus stopped working, and an error was logged, suggesting a potential cable or plug connection issue. Another owner with a similar problem identified the door actuator or mechanism as a common cause, specifically pointing to the door switch or locking system. The problem was resolved by repairing a defective door switch connection, restoring the keyless entry functionality.

Thanks, that's helpful. When you say the door mechanism, are you talking about the door switch or the whole locking system itself? How did you narrow it down?

Okay, so I'd say both the switch and the system. It's tricky, because a faulty switch can trigger the whole locking system to act up. Honestly, after messing with it for an afternoon, I just took mine to a shop. Best bet might be to get it properly diagnosed.

Thanks for the insights! I took it to the shop, and you were right, it was a defective door switch connection. Repair cost me 95€. Keyless entry is working now.

Yep, sounds familiar! I've got a Taurus too, same issue with the keyless entry and error codes. Usually it's something with the door actuator. Have you checked the door mechanism? It could be some of it.
