Taurus Tire Pressure Warning Light
Summary of the thread
A 2000 Ford Taurus owner experienced a tire pressure warning light and error message despite all tires being properly inflated. The issue is suspected to be a faulty tire pressure sensor, possibly due to a dead battery. Attempts to reset the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) were unsuccessful, leading to the conclusion that professional repair is needed.

Resetting the TPMS? I wasn't aware the 2000 model had that function. Where exactly in the system menu would I find that option? Or could it be a hidden procedure?

On mine, it wasn't in the main menu. I had to hold down the reset button while turning the key to the 'on' position. But if that doesn't work for you, it's probably the sensor. Ended up costing me 280€ at the shop.

Thanks for the info. Tried the reset procedure, but no luck. Looks like it's pointing to a dead sensor like I initially thought. I'll take it to the shop, thanks again for sharing your experience!

I had a similar issue with my Taurus. Same symptoms – warning light, error message, and all tires properly inflated. I'm curious, did you try resetting the TPMS through the car's computer?
