Summary of the thread
A 2022 Ford Taurus with a gasoline engine and 211,222 km is experiencing transmission issues, including an illuminated MIL, stored error, emergency mode, unclean shifts, and grinding noises. The problem may be linked to a faulty transmission oil pressure sensor. A low transmission oil level is identified as a likely cause, affecting the sensor's readings and causing the described issues. After checking and topping off the oil level and replacing the sensor, the problem is resolved.

The oil level has not been checked yet. Could a low oil level genuinely cause all these problems, including the sensor fault?

Yes, a low oil level is the likely cause. The sensor is just reporting the low pressure. I recommend checking the level immediately and topping it off if necessary. However, if the issue persists, a workshop visit is advisable to rule out further damage.

Thank you for the insight. It was indeed a low oil level. After topping it off and replacing the sensor, the issue is resolved. Total repair cost was 365€.

I had similar symptoms on my Ford Taurus. Is the transmission oil level correct? A low level can cause those pressure sensor faults and the issues you're describing.
