Teana audio system dead display frozen
Summary of the thread
A 2003 Nissan Teana's audio system is malfunctioning, with no sound and a frozen display. The issue might be related to a defective display or head unit, as indicated by a stored error in the error memory. Checking the fuses showed no obvious problems, suggesting a deeper issue. The recommended solution is to have the system professionally inspected and repaired.

The display lights up, but it's just... frozen. Like, the clock is stuck, and none of the dashboard controls do anything. Volume control, changing stations, nothing. Could it be the head unit itself?

Yep, sounds like the display is defective, like mine was. I ended up taking it to a workshop. Cost me around 725€ to get it sorted. Honestly, with those symptoms, I'd just bite the bullet and get it looked at by a pro.

Ugh, that's what I was afraid of! Thanks for the heads-up. Guess I'll be booking it in this week. Hopefully they can fix it without completely ripping me off. Appreciate the advice!

Dude, sounds familiar! I've got a Teana too, and I had a similar problem. Was starting to drive me nuts. Does the display light up at all, or is it totally blank?
