Teana Hissing Noise and Fuel Consumption

I need help with my 2009 Nissan Teana with a gasoline engine. I'm getting higher fuel consumption, the check engine light is on, and there's a loud hissing sound when I accelerate. The car has 25223 km on it. I've checked the intake manifold and throttle body for leaks, but I don't see anything obvious. Could it be a leaking intake hose?

I had a similar issue with my 2014 Opel Astra: check engine light and hissing. It was a cracked intake hose after the air filter. Have you checked the hose for splits? It might be hard to see. Also, is your turbocharger working right?

So, the leak might be past the intake manifold, closer to the air filter? I'll check the hoses there again. Any tips for finding the leak?

Yeah, the crack in my intake hose was on the bottom, hard to see without taking it off. I took it to a shop to get it diagnosed. Letting a professional take a look is probably best.

Thanks for the help. I checked the intake hoses again and found a split in one, just like you said. I replaced it, cleared the check engine light, and now it's fixed. The repair was about 100€. Your advice was a big help.
